Features
- New segments compaction mode writes per-segment markdown files that the model can read to recover pre-compaction detail.
- Claude and Cursor compatibility scanning (skills, rules, AGENTS.md) can now be toggled individually via env vars or config.toml.
- grok inspect now shows the resolved on/off state and source for every Claude/Cursor compatibility toggle.
- Cursor MCP servers and hooks are now discovered and can be disabled independently via GROK_CURSOR_MCPS_ENABLED / GROK_CURSOR_HOOKS_ENABLED.
Bug Fixes
- Streaming tool output (bash/write_file) now renders completely in the pager instead of only the latest chunk.
- Streaming bash tool output now appears correctly in the pager scrollback.
- Routing a native tool (e.g. scheduler_create) through use_tool now gives a clear corrective error instead of an unrecoverable loop.
- "Starting session..." spinner no longer gets stuck when zero MCP servers are configured.
- Subagents now use the correct harness after switching models mid-session.
- Fixed long startup delays when an external auth provider binary hangs or fails.
- Subagent conversations no longer receive unrelated monitor events or background task completions from the parent.
- The /loop command now accepts natural-language intervals instead of always defaulting to 10 minutes.
- Fixed blank output on completed bash or code-execution cards after shell restart or reconnect.
Performance
- Large pasted images no longer bust the prompt cache or exceed the 50 MiB request limit.
